Intermediate Level Training Requirements

Your ARCP will be conducted entirely from the evidence presented on your Royal College e-Portfolio

The evidence will be assessed in a structured manner according to the following checklist.

All the below information must be attached your ESSR. Failure to do so will lead to you having an unfavourable ARCP Outcome.


Your Educational Supervisor should refer to the checklist when reviewing your ESSR.


Progress Page (red/green page)

  • Completion of sufficient Units of Training
    • ST3
      • Sufficient Units of Training to allow completion of Intermediate Level Training in the following year
    • ST4
      • All Mandatory Units of Training
  • Learning Agreement
  • PDP’s
  • Interim Progress Report – at least 3, covering the educational reviews at 3, 6 and 9 months
  • MSF Summary – annually (1 per calendar year)

ESSR

  • Primary FRCA Exam Evidence – enter date on ESSR
  • Certificates – enter dates on ESSR
    • IAC
    • IAOC
    • BLTC
  • Final FRCA Exam Evidence – attach Certificate to ESSR
  • RCoA Logbook Summary(s) – Year being assessed and cumulative ST Logbook
  • Library Evidence – All evidence attached to this year’s ARCP record
    • Courses
      • ALS or APLS in date
      • Transfer Training
      • Airway Course
    • Child Protection Level 2 – valid for 3 years (attach evidence)
    • Equality and Diversity Training – valid for 3 years (attach evidence)
    • Surveys
      • JEST
      • GMC
  • Quality Improvement Activity – e.g. Audit
  • Teaching
  • Reflective Practice
  • Comments
    • Educational Supervisor
