NEW!! Surgical Operative Risk assessment Tool

NCEPOD are very pleased to announce that there is now an ‘App’ available for the Surgical Outcome Risk Tool – SORT
The App can be downloaded from the ‘App store’ for Apple devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod) and ‘Google Play’ for Android devices. We have used specific keywords but the quickest way to find the App is to search using the full name “surgical outcome risk tool”.

The tool was described in a paper published in the British Journal of Surgery in November 2014

This was a collaborative project between NCEPOD and SOuRCe at UCL/UCLH based on the data from ‘Knowing the risk’ an NCEPOD study carried out in NHS hospitals in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the independent sector hospitals.
